Call for Tutorials

ISMCO invites proposals for tutorials of interest to individuals interested in mathematical and computational oncology including researchers, clinicians, educators and graduate students. We especially welcome proposals for tutorials that:

  • Introduce a specific ISMCO topic, designed to make the topic more accessible to participants who are new to that topic.
  • Provide a hands-on introduction to one or more software tools or other resources of broad interest to the symposium participants.
  • Provide a comprehensive review of the current state of the art in a specific topic aimed at researchers and clinicians who are knowledgeable, but not necessarily experts in the topic.
  • Present techniques from research fields that are relevant to mathematical and computational oncology.
  • Introduce new research problems, new application areas, or new or emerging technologies of relevance to mathematical and computational oncology.

Proposals should be submitted in Word or PDF, by email to admin@ismco.net and must include the following information:

  • Tutorial title
  • Names and affiliations of presenters
  • Tutorial abstract (200 words maximum, suitable for inclusion on the symposium website)
  • Tutorial description, including the objectives of the tutorial, its relevance to ISMCO, description of the intended audience and background assumed of the audience.
  • Expected audience size
  • Duration (full-day or half-day)
  • Brief professional biographies of presenters including their scientific and professional qualifications and experience and contact information.
